The headquarters of freenet AG are located in Büdelsdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, where employees work in IT and commercial professions.

Today, Büdelsdorf is also the freenet IT competence site. Central functions such as human resources, marketing and accounting for the freenet mobile communications brand are also located here, as are internal sales, hardware purchasing and sales, central indirect purchasing and the legal department.

Büdelsdorf is also home to part of freenet Logistik GmbH and klarmobil GmbH, the freenet no-frills low-price mobile communications brand. Training young talent is a high priority at this site.

The Oberkrämer site consolidates all related store activities such as sales management, sales coaching and training, and retail marketing. It is where all freenet's retail sales activities are based.

The data centre operates the technical infrastructure on which most of the company's internet services, portals and business applications are provided. These include portals such as freenet.de and freenet-digital.de, and applications such as freenet Mail, as well the central billing system and store applications. Highly skilled employees at the site work to operate, automate and expand the system landscape comprising servers, storage, operating systems, networks and, of course, the related infrastructure.

In addition to the Group subsidiaries, this site also serves the freenet business customers, who are provided with a wide range of services, from operating individual server systems to hosting entire backup data centres.

The Düsseldorf office offers the ideal environment for young professionals working in IT. This is why the successful training of IT specialists has been an essential part of the programmes offered by freenet for more than 20 years.

The Rhineland metropolis of Cologne is the headquarters of Media Broadcast GmbH, Germany's largest service provider in the broadcasting and media industry and part of the freenet AG since March 2016.

The company's headquarters in the KÖLNCUBUS property, which is located near the trade fair and exhibition grounds in the Deutz district, is home to the executive management and the sales and marketing, product management, technology, HR, finance and other departments providing shared services. The site also houses a Network Operation Center and offices of teams working in planning and operations.
 
In addition to its headquarters in Cologne, Media Broadcast operates sales offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Munich-Unterföhring, Stuttgart and Mainz, as well as many service locations spread throughout Germany.

Erfurt is a key service location for the freenet AG.

The site is home to Group Facility, which is the central unit responsible for organising, managing and implementing all facility tasks within the Group and sees itself as a service provider for the various specialist departments and as a partner of the local facility managers. Its area of responsibility extends to the offices in Kiel, Büdelsdorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Oberkrämer, Erfurt, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf and the engineering site in Elmshorn.

Group Facility covers tasks in fields such as electrical installations, air conditioning, safety engineering, technical service and documentation.

Erfurt is also home to various IT support units, with the Service Operation Center (SOC) playing a key role in monitoring the IT and security systems of the freenet AG by providing a 24/7 service 365 days a year.
