The 2020 Annual General Meeting granted the management board of the freenet AG the authority to buy back up to 10% of the share capital.
In total, the Company repurchased 7.153% of the share capital (9,160,418 shares) under three share buyback programs (Share Buyback Program 2020, Share Buyback Program 2021, Share Buyback Program 2022).
All shares acquired by freenet AG as part of the three share buyback programmes were cancelled on 8 June 2022 resulting in a reduction of the company's share capital.
